And, thanks to the Northern Territory Government, we can offer these services free-of-charge to any business turning over up to $75,000 in Darwin and Alice Springs, and up to $150,000 in regional and remote areas.

Our one-on-one mentoring gives you direct access to an experienced business mentor who’s walked the same path you’re on.

Whether you need help solving a specific challenge, refining your strategy, or building new skills, we’ll work alongside you to set clear goals, map practical actions, and keep you accountable.

Every session is tailored to your business, your pace, and your priorities — providing confidential, trusted guidance that helps you make better decisions and move forward with confidence.

PROFESSIONAL SERVICES

Through NTG support, eligible start-up businesses can receive up to 4 hours of fully funded professional services.

Where your business mentor identifies a specific need—such as legal, accounting, marketing, or other specialist advice—we can connect you with the right professional and cover the cost of their time.

This ensures you get expert guidance at the most critical stages of your business journey, without the upfront financial pressure.

BECNT MEMBERSHIP

Businesses using our NTG-supported startup & early-stage services will be offered a 12-month BECNT membership free of charge.

To help get your business up and running, you'll have access to discounts on BECNT paid services, free legal templates, free access to BECNT workshops, and support from out sponsors - like $500 off your first website, discounts on accounting and bookkeeping, reduced rates for event space hire and deals on TV advertising.

This is made possible due to our commitment to reinvesting our earnings back into providing more free and affordable support for small and medium business in the NT, and we that the NTG and our sponsors for their ongoing support.

ESSENTIAL

BUSINESS SKILLS

The Business Enterprise Centre NT have developed the Essential Business Skills (EBS) course to deliver you everything you need to know when starting up your own business.

Running every 3 weeks from October to July, the course is entirely online with extensive in-person support so that you can complete it at your own pace, in your own time.

Our experienced team of Business Mentors check up on how you’re progressing along the way, offering support and answering your questions whenever you need it.

At the end of the course, we organise a meeting (zoom or in-person) to see how our team at the Business Enterprise Centre NT can continue to support you.

Startup September is a series of workshops, delivered by experts and spread across the month of (can you guess?) September, designed to give you the tools you need to get your business up and running.

Held face-to-face in Darwin and streamed online across the NT, Startup September takes you from idea to business launch in just 30 days.

You'll be taken through business registration, finance, marketing, tax, social media, business planning and more, and will finish the month with an Action Plan so you'll be ready to take the next steps to launch your business.
