FLEXIBLE SKILLS &

TRAINING RESPONSE

PROGRAM (FSTRP)

Free and Low-Cost Training for NT Businesses

WHAT IS

FSTRP?

The Flexible Skills and Training Response Program (FSRTP) is a Northern Territory Government initiative designed to help small-to-medium businesses build the skills they need to grow, adapt, and succeed.

Running from July 2025 to June 2026, the program funds practical, face-to-face workshops across the NT – from Darwin and Palmerston to rural and remote communities. Training is delivered by approved providers, each offering targeted sessions that address critical skill gaps in the NT business community.

Through the program, businesses can access free or subsidised training in areas such as:

  • Financial literacy – budgeting, cashflow, pricing, tax essentials, and more

  • ICT skills – Microsoft 365, CRM systems, automation tools

  • AI and automation

  • Tender writing and procurement

  • De-escalation and crime prevention

  • Industry-specific skills.
