Merchandising - Getting Better Results

Welcome. These notes will prepare you for the webinars and provide information on the content we will cover during the two sessions. We know from our experience presenting webinars that session duration is a key success factor. Too short and it’s difficult to present and reinforce key content, too long and it becomes tedious and participant interest diminishes. So, we limit our sessions to a maximum of 60 minutes.

We deliver the two sessions a week apart to provide time for you to go through the content of the first session, to complete some of the post-session activities and to reflect on how you might put into practice the key principles in your business. The webinar sessions are delivered in presentation mode. This means you can see us, but we can’t see you. It also means that participants can’t see each other. It’s not a video-conferencing platform. We use this approach because it supports the participation of multiple businesses and the involvement of many people from each business There is a chat room function available during the session where questions and comment may be posted. We will cover the following content:


Session 1 – Wednesday 27th May  
 

 

  • Making your business the customer’s first choice - understanding and communicating your point of difference
  • It’s in the detail - making the essential your routine.
  • No or low cost improvements to layout and merchandise presentation

Session 2 – Wednesday 3rd June

  • Critical product placement for increased sales and profit
  • Presenting your merchandise so more customers stop, look and buy
  • Displaying the right stock in the right place at the right price

We will provide a set of webinar notes prior to the first session. The notes cover the content that we will go through during the first webinar. We recommend that you print them prior to the webinar and refer to them during the session.

After the first webinar return to your business and dedicate some time in the week before the second session going through the questions and working out how they apply to your business.

                                   

We will forward the second set of notes on June 1st. Do the same after the second webinar.

Each business will then have a folllow-up one hour video conference with Jan to assist  with  any issues or questions coming out of the webinars

The first webinar will go live promptly at 9.30 am ACST on Wednesday 27th May.

A day or two prior to the session you will receive via email a link that will give you access to the session. There is no requirement to download any software or programs. You simply register for the session via the link and then join the session at the appointed time.
